Description

Marcus Autism Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine are recruiting a full-time child neurologist, neurodevelopmental pediatrician, or developmental-behavioral pediatrician. The physician will join a multidisciplinary team in our outpatient clinical service. The position may include an academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University with rank commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Marcus Autism Center is a not-for-profit organization and wholly owned affiliate of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. It serves as the Division of Autism and Related Disorders at the Department of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine. As one of the largest autism centers in the U.S., Marcus Autism Center evaluates and treats more than 9,000 children originating in Georgia and nationally per year. Marcus Autism Center is also one of the largest centers of autism research in the country. It is one of only three National Institutes of Health Autism Centers of Excellence, with an expanding portfolio spanning molecular genetics, clinical science and clinical trials, and implementation science. With the help of research grants, community and philanthropic support and government funding, Marcus Autism Center aims to maximize the potential of children with autism today and transform the nature of autism for future generations. Marcus Autism Center’s clinical, research and training enterprises benefit from a web of partnerships that encompass local resources such as Georgia Institute of Technology and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, academic institutions around the U.S., international research organizations as well as state, national and governmental agencies.
